I live across the Street from an Assisted Living Apartment Complex for the Senior Citizens. Any suggestions for offering my services?

Hmm here in Denmark I would just walk in and say hallo.

Find someone (perhaps just a person walking out the complex) you can get in a dialogue with and from there it is like all "canvas sale". Ask questions to get the info you need, get in contact with the person who can help you getting your offer known etc etc

The hard part is if you are not the type who just walk up to a person and start talking. Remember all people are most willing to help other (or at least most are) so a start phrase like "excuse me can you help me?!" will get you far and if not; there are a lot of other persons in that complex so you just attack another one with your question......

Good hunt!!

Sometimes, senior assisted living places have a person who is responsible for planning activities, outings, or entertainment for the residents. If you can talk to that person, you might be able to suggest doing a complimentary afternoon of short chair massages, or foot massages or similar. Then you could go from there with flyers and information about your rates and services.

One thing that is quite simple but often forgotten is making sure your promotional materials for these clients have large, clear, readable text. Eyesight is a real issue for most older people and I heard some good advice that any time you create something that an older client might need to read, try squinting your eyes and reading it through your eyelashes to simulate having less good eyesight (or just take your glasses/contacts off if you wear them). If it's too hard for you to read it that way, it's too hard for your clients to read.

Just start volunteering first, and do not worry if that isn't massage at all. If you build 2-4 real relationships with the people living there and then let them know you do massage they will be your greatest advocates.

Sorry for the late response, thank you for taking out time to offer this information, I will give it a try.

Thank you Adam.  I apologize for not responding sooner.
