Hi Laura,
I received an email from the NCBTMB and did the survey a few days ago. I persoanlly did not like all the answer choices they gave on this survey. Nor did they give any place for comments which is sad. Thanks for posting it here.
During my talk with Mr. Lindamood, I told him it was a problem that the NCB does not respond to people when they send in comments, and he promised me that was going to change. Send them a letter or an email and express your opinion!

Thanks, Laura. I will do just what you suggested.

OK so I just took the survey and I have to say I am appalled! The way the questions are asked and the answers that are available show just how much they do not understand how to survey the profession. The questions are set so there are not any options to say you don't think it is needed. The questions just assume that this is the right thing for the profession. The questions just lead people to very poor choices of answers in my opinion.

My biggest question is what proof is there that this whole thing is needed? They did this in the beginning too when they first started out. The did not do any research to show if this is needed. I would think a survey or some kind of study that actually looks at the success of massage therapists would tell them more. Yikes ! here they go again!

Also - did this just get sent out to current NCBTMB members? Just wondering because that would be another very biased result.

Based on the comments here, I'm not going to take the survey. I've found that many of the surveys offered are leading and don't offer room for comment, or the answer options are limited and don't offer a "not applicable" type of answer.
