massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

I'm new here so I'm still learning my way around. I've been a sole practitioner for 20 years and Massage Therapy is still my passion. My home office is in a small (population 400) town in South Central Texas. I love it here, but have little opprotunity to interact with other therapists. I already love this forum and am grateful to its creators. I think its great to have so many people to share and discuss with. Hopefully this will open the door to new "real life" friendships as well as virtual ones. BonnieB

Hi Bonnie,

My name is Patches and I'm new as well. I'm 33 and just started practicing in my home office. Glad to meet you and hopefully this will be a great way to connect with others in the field. How have you liked having your office in your home? I was a little weary of it at first and got some mixed reactions, but I'm giving it a shot anyway.
Take care!
Good Morning, Patches,
I've been in my home office for approx. 15 years and I love it. It gives me so much freedom and flexibility. My clients love the fact that I'll schedule at 5 am or 11 pm or what ever suits their schedules. I always say, "I work for working people", lol,
so I try to accomodate them. After all, I"m at home, right? Then there's the tax deductions that can be taken. I really have no complaints about working at home.
