I have a client who had a stroke over the summer, she has been cleared to have massage by her doctor as the stroke was from estrogen.  Anyhow while she was in the hospital she had a procedure done and her neck and Left shoulder has not felt the same since.  She is experiencing a lot of pain in the upper trap, rhomboid, and levator scapula muscles.  When she turns her head she is experience a clicking.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may want to try, so as to help relieve the pain and clicking.

Thank you in advance, no suggestion is a bad one, I want to hear how you would handle this to help her.

It as not a surgical procedure, she was unconscious.  It was I believe a EEG? Lasting effects minor sensation issues in her Right side, but fully functioning, and doing well considering.
