UPDATE: The NJ licensing regulations are now available online--read the official document here.

Another update: Those who already had the voluntary state certification in NJ before the licensing requirements came about are showing up on the NJ website as "null and void," but there's no need to worry. You'll simply renew your existing certification in November, and that will be it. The state board has also just sent out a batch of letters to give you a NEW license number, so check the mail for that document. From the ABMP Government Relations Coordinator, Nancy Potter:

"If members go to the license verification page on the state website, and click on the menu under “Profession,” then they need to  click on “Massage and Bodywork Therapy,” NOT “Massage, Bodywork & Somatic” (which is the old list).   Then they enter their name, and their new license number should come up.  If they are looking under “Massage, Bodywork & Somatic,” then they will get the “null and void” old certification number."

So it's still valid, it's just under a new category, and you'll get a new license number.
