A new friend from BC wrote and asked why I thought Festival was the best convention available. I asked if he knew of any other package deal that included food, lodging and education as a package. He said, "No, but all that happens anyways, what else makes you different?"

I thought that enough, but went on and asked if any others, he knew, allowed the general public to attend, that offer 42 instructors teaching 56 classes or where vendors can come for about 1/5th the price? "No", was his answer repeatedly. He was convinced, but I wondered, "what else?"

The act we let members have FREE education after so many years with us is revolutionary. No other organization does this!

So I kept writing things down that make Festival, not your typical convention. I stayed up and created the above. I hope it helps.

No way this is "Just Another Convention". This is the BEST Convention / Tradeshow in the World. You offer so much to each of the therapist for the BEST Price in the World. First class rate instructors who are really down to earth People, the BEST Door Prizes anywhere, Entertainment by Lanny Moody who is the Best Comedian on the Face of the Earth, The Symposim, what great discussions have come from that group of thereapist and Educations combined. No other Convention even offers a Symposium for LMT's to voice their concerns about the Industry, and an all inclusive package of room and board. That alone beats the high prices of hotels and having to eat out somewhere. You just have it all. Plus so much more. The World Massage Festival is a very special Convention and one has to experience it first hand. Come One Come All to the World Massage Festival, Berea College, Berea, KY, June 17-21, 2010. I will be there. worldmassagefestival.com
That is great! I Like the comparison so individuals can view the differences. Super Cool! Great Deal Everyone! You gotta come and check it out.
Thanks! It kept me up all night, but it was a good question. Now, I have the answers. It keeps growing every day!

Hi Mike

I can see you have a great festival going on there with what looks like a huge amount of benefits for those therapists attending, I would like to come along and check it out as it sounds like a lot of fun too.

Just one question though. Why do you call it the WORLD massage festival?

Is it truly a global festival drawing massage therapist and speakers / educators from across the globe and I know you plan your festivals years in advance, but will we be seeing one of the festivals hosted in Europe for example. It would be great if you did, networking with therapists world wide!
Yes, my intention is within a couple of years being in first Amsterdam and then across Europe and through Greece.

Canada is already making plans to have a joint effort next year. It will be in coordination with Massage Therapy Radio and The World Massage Conference. It is in the baby planning stages right now.

People have come from Germany, France, England, Mexico and Canada so far, to our events in the US. As for the costs factor, it's worth coming. Fly into Lexington, KY and rent a car. 40 minute drive down INT. 75 and you are there. And if you need a ride from the airport, let me know and I'll ask someone from Lexington to bring you in. The KY Smokey Mountains will be a remarkable site to anyone from Europe. It is a very special place, you will never forget. Hope to see you here!

That would be brilliant Mike. Amsterdam would be a great location for the Festival, but I hope you'd consider the UK for at least one year.

I can't see me making it to the festival in the US this year but I would love to attend so maybe I should plan in advance for next year.

Cheers
