Massage Apprenticeship Advice

I have a personal training that I work with at my establishment and he was interested in getting his massage license and wants to apprentice under me. I have looked into the requirements and legalities but I needed some advice as to HOW it is actually done. What kind of documentation is needed, how its reported and everything else that I don't know that I need to know. It would be great if someone here has done this before and could offer some insight into the matter or at minimum point me in the right direction. Please and thank you!
