Massage Bucks?

I have always sold gift certificates for either $60 or $70 for the types of massage I offer. Recently someone told me they wanted to purchase a $20 gift certificate to give as a Christmas gift. I assume this person can't afford (or chooses not) to purchase a full massage but wants to give $20 towards the massage and the recipient would pay the difference.

What has been your experience with this? Should I fill out the gift certificate as "$20 towards the massage service of your choice". Another MT suggested creating Massage Money or Stress Buster Bucks. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks very much.

We allow that in my office. People may purchase gift certificates in any denomination they want and it can be applied toward whatever service the client desires.

Either of those names sounds catchy to me.

This Holiday Season I started allowing any denomination toward the "giftee's" choice. Times are tight! Someone may not be able to afford the full price of an hour massage. However, they may really want to "Give the Gift of Health" and any little bit helps! It's truly the "thought that counts" form of massage gift-giving.
