massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

I was reading back into other posts about massage software that is offered. I work by myself and my business is very small right now due to just started on my own. I am looking for an affordable software to use to get my business going. A few things that I am currently looking for are really good soap noting features as I do have a few PI's and some WC cases I'm working with. I want to make these as easy as possible for me. Also I am looking for a way to keep track of my income coming in and packages people buy etc. So that doing my taxes are a breeze verse all the extra work put into it.

Is there software out there that can do both of these or do I need a seperate software all together?

Thanks so much for your advice.

Missy :)

sbNextStep is actually free and sounds like it might work well for you.  http://www.sbNextStep.com

It has an appointment book, SOAP notes, expense tracking, and a lot more.  It sends out appointment reminders to either email or cell phones completely free.  If you want to sync to your phone, you can using Google Calendar (you can book and/or view your appointments from your phone). The Google Calendar Sync piece is optional ($39 one time charge).  It's pretty cool.

It's multi-staff, too.  You can run it with just one therapist or several.

I use Massage Suite.  In addition to those features it keeps track of any product you may sell and it has the forms and coding should you choose to accept & bill insurance.  It is also only $150.  It took me a bit to figure it out (I am NOT computer saavy) but I love it now.

Missy,

I have used two different programs over the last nine years, Massage Office Pro and Customer Pro-File. I really liked Massage Office, it had SOAP, data base, HCFA, etc. However, it was PC only and when my Dell laptop died, I went back to Mac. There were ( are) few programs for Mac users that I know of and now that I do only one or two insurance cases per  year, I don't need a deep program.

Hope this helps.

Good luck,

jh

Hi Missy,

I am currently working on http://www.massagecrm.com that is focused on recording SOAP notes for each massage session. The software also has a scheduling feature and allows you to record income.  It's currently in a free beta, but it's directly aimed at massage professionals who are running a small business.  I'm actively developing on this software, so we will be adding features constantly.  Feel free to visit the site and sign up for a free account and see if it will fit your needs.

Thanks,

Jason
