Synopsis of Workshop Offerings

Marty Kestin, BS, MSW, LMBT, Ensoma Bodyworks

Provider #450901-08

As a pain-free and performance expert, I work with people suffering from chronic pain conditions, using a unique combination of neuromuscular bodywork and postural therapy to help restore comfort, ease, and freedom of movement. I provide holistic information, treatment and self-care options so clients can return to active and pain free lifestyles.

I have developed a curriculum for bodyworkers and fitness professionals based on my training with Dub Leigh, (www.zentherapy.org) who trained under Ida Rolf, Moshe Feldenkrais, Milton Trager, Raymond Nimmo, DC and many other giants in our field. I also draw upon my training with Pete Egoscue (www.egoscue.com); my study of the work of Janet Travell, MD and David Simons, MD (Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction; The Trigger Point Manuals, Volumes I and II); and my long-time practice of Aikido and yoga.

I am passionate about understanding the structure and function of the body. I believe we can learn how to identify and treat most issues of chronic pain with education and techniques easily applied in movement and touch therapies such as massage, yoga, Pilates and personal training based on functional movement.
