Has anyone tried any and found them to be beneficial?

I have done several, but I think it depends on what you are looking to get out of the course. Truthfully, I have never learned a "modality" through on-line courses. "Text Only" classes are great! Informational types like ethics are great, because there is no hands on to learn. Hopefully, someone else will chime in with their experiences.

Marissa, thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I was expecting to experience, a lack of hands on instruction since this is what we do, put our hands on people. Perhaps others will comment as well. Thanks!

I took a few courses through AMTA's continuing education. The courses were related to oncology massage and clients with PTSD. The background information was very helpful and both courses seemed to be mostly about the medical systems behind the conditions. They also offered great intake questions to ask and bedside manner type information. I liked them and would take a course with them again.
