Just on Sunday night some has made me their personal MT. Since I am a recent graduate, how do I go about pay? I do see this as me personally working FOR him as opposed to having him as a regular client.

Comments are greatly needed. :)

Thanks in advance!

EH,

If you're "working for him" then it sounds as if you see yourself as an employee rather than as an independent contractor.  This is a very important distinction and will determine how you go about getting paid. An employee is usually paid on an hourly basis, rather than fee-for-service.  Usually there are a certain number of hours guaranteed each week, and the employer determines the schedule.

Is this what is happening? Is this what you would like?  Be careful not to take an employee rate but actually be independent. You will be way underselling yourself if that happens!!!

i view the situation like this. A person MT would be someone who is available when the person calls. He should have you either on salary or hourly basis (meaning set hours and days that you two agree upon). During those times no  matter what you are doing you are getting paid and you should make yourself available for your service. There are pros and cons to that but that is what I see if someone has a PERSONAL MT
Thank you

yea, i see as this too. we still have to work some things out as far as pay and what days. right now, we're just going with whatever comes up, since i wasn't expecting this.
