Ryan, The recession is far from over if you follow what is going on in the economy now. Have you seen the stores with all of their pre black friday sales ?

But that does not mean you still can not be successful in a massage business. The countries economy is down. Your personal economy doesn't have anything to do with that if you live within your means and are constantly working to create more streams of income.

Personally, my massage business is the busiest it has ever been all year. I can hardly keep up with it all. But I also do something all the time - give chiros my cards, write and article or two for my websites, talk to current clients about why they need to get regular massage etc.

This whole economy thing is just an opportunity to be creative and find new ways to reach clients and make money. It is easier to blame your lack of success on the economy rather than do the marketing you need to do to be successful.

As always,

Here is what one person said to me about the recession:
If you are employed, then the recession is over and if you are unemployed, then we are still in a recession.

Some places are getting rich over the recession and colleges should be profiting from it because when people lose their jobs they tend to go back to college, but it's harder to get loans and that has hurt a lot of colleges.

Ryan
Well,that makes sense.

I think this recession hit people differently depending on their fields.
Construction is down and so my hubby hasn't worked much in almost 6 months . UGH :(
Others professions seem to be doing ok and hanging in there, while others
are prospering. Just depends.
On the whole, I'd have to say NO it is not over. I personally know way too many people, family, friends
out of work!

Well according to the Treasury Dept., the recession officially ended on November 9th. I think we are on the way back. I think it will take until Summer 2010 to have the economy back the way it was with people employed as they were. It will take time to get new busineses up and running. I do think we are getting better in all fields from this point forward. Keep the Faith!
