massage and bodywork professionals
a community of practitioners
hello fellow LMT's
i am gearing up for maternity leave, and want to find someone that is similar to me for my clients. if you have any experience with this, i'd love to hear from you! i am wondering if i should ask for a sample session from interested parties [like a job interview], hire them as sub-contractors, ask for a referral fee, or just do a verbal interview and send folks their way...
i also don't know if i'll be returning to massage, so until i make that decision, i want to make sure my clients are in the best possible hands!
here is a call for referrals i've put together, but not yet sent out ::
i am looking for maternity leave coverage beginning in may or june and would like to find someone with similar training and approach to business / client care to cover me.
LMTs considered will ::
• utilize an integrative approach to bodywork and massage that is swedish based and incorporate multiple, full spectrum modalities to address the client's needs [reiki, polarity, esalen, deep tissue, trigger point, acupressure, structural release/integration, orthopedic, sports, aromatherapy, pre/post natal, breema] ... or similar range of techniques/touch.
• be able to provide both 'relaxation' and 'therapeutic' sessions in a balanced, holistic way
• has been in practice for at least 5 years
• accepts insurance and PIP, and LifeBalance
• has online scheduling and/or is extremely prompt in returning calls/emails from clients
• has an informative/user friendly website
• is located, ideally, around inner SE hawthorne [portland, or] or has other central location in portland.
i really appreciate any words of wisdom and feedback from your personal and professional experience.
cheers,
jamie
