I recently came across an article that I'd torn from an old issue of an ABMP massage magazine, on Spinal Reflex Analysis. The modality was developed by  Chiropractor, Dr. Frank Jarrell. I'm very, very curious about this, as I have several Parkinsons' clients and two with diagnosed "dystonia". Has anyone any thoughts, comments, experience or opinions about Spinal Reflex Therapy? Here's a link to the home page of SRA: http://www.spinalreflexanalysis.com/sra-mt2/about-us.html

If you haven't learned a modality that teaches back work that includes release of nerves from the spine then this would be very valuable. If you do such work now with the many modalities available it might give you some additional tools to use. Any modality that provides you additional tools to help others is of value. You must decide if you think it can add enough to be worth your time and expense.

If you need to expand business one method is to learn a modality with a referral page that will help you get inquiries. The referral page does have many MTs on it. Check if there are any in your area. You might want to try it. Also if there aren't any in your area it might direct business your way.

Daniel,

Thanks for your reply.

I don't know the names of "other modalities" that include release of spinal nerves. Do you use a different modality and do you have specific experience with the SRA therapy?

Thank you for your response in advance.

To list a few; Thai Massage, Korean Martial Therapy (Hwal bup Do), Shiatsu, Acupressure (both Chinese & Korean forms) Amma, Rolfing, & Myofascial Release. That isn't to say they concentrate on the spine but all are full body systems that address the spinal releases. I'm sure other Therapists can list additional modalities. I am not saying that they are copies of one another. They all address and have ways of resolving the same issues of spinal reflex
