Starting your own practice

If you have your own practice what advise would you give to someone who has decided to open their personal practice; looking back when you began? The Do's and Don'ts and what you would have done better? Words of wisdom :)

Hi Bianca,

If I were just starting out, the most important thing I can think of is to find a great location. I would look in an upscale area, as expensive as I could afford and find the best location. I think it is up there at the top of the list in importance.

Thank you ladies! Check on the location :) I have a wonderful location in an upscale area. As for signange due to propety management and the other professionals they will not allow signage except for the simple plates that are located in the foyer with the other professionals listed. I am however right in the center of this elite upscalr town. Any other helpful hints...
