Swedish Massage in other countries than Sweden?

Im from Sweden and my massage education is based on swedish massage. My diploma even says "Swedish Massage Therapist" Im interested to hear about your opinion on what swedish massage actually is? For me massage "is" swedish massage. In my opinion sports massage is based on swedish massage, massage therapy is based on swedish massage ( unless its not some kind of japanese or thai sports massage, well you get the point).
