Therapists, if you could go anywhere...

Suppose you won the following "scholarship":

1) Two months of paid vacation

2) Flights anywhere in the world: round trip, Asian ring, whatever.

3) $5000 on a credit card

You're to use this to go anywhere in the world to train in bodywork. It has to be a new site or teacher you've never worked with before. Anything over the $5000 you pay on your own.

Where would you go, what would you train in, and why?

I would go to Thailand to learn Thai massage. It's one of my favorite styles of massage to receive, and I would love to be in the culture during the learning process. I want to be able to offer this to my clients. This has been a dream for many years, and someday I will do it!

I went to Hawaii to learn Lomi-Lomi, and it was a wonderful experience that I use every day in my work. The advantage to being in the location of the origins of that style of bodywork is what "makes" it. Priceless, as they say.
