That sounds like a good idea, never thought of that before, I normally use a crockpot like Diane, but I dont use with water, I use with hot towels and I add my oil bottle there, and use the towel to wipe the feet after the massage :)I don't warm oils on house calls but my wife (also a massage therapist) does. She puts a smaller bottle of oil in travel metal Starbucks coffee cup and puts boiling water in it before she leaves. She says that this keeps the oil warm and that the heat transfer cools the water down before she starts her massage. And seeing that she is German, practical, and has a low tolerance for things that do not work well I bet that it warms the oil just fine.
45seconds? is it boiling when it comes out? how hot do you want it?
Darcy Neibaur said:I just heat mine in the microwave. Everyone has one and no one is offeded by my asking to heat the lotion in their microwave. Place bottle in Microwave for 30-45 seconds.
Greetings, I will be finshing school in June and plan to do mobile massage therapy in my area. I have looked in to the Coleman thermoelectice cooler. This cooler will plug right into you cigerate lighter and comes with 110 adpater and will keep anything hot or cold. The one I ahve seen at Walmart in my area is only $88 and will hold 40 qt. would be great for not only warming the oil, but towels, and hot rocks as well. If that cooler sounds too big there are smaller sizes with the same ability just look for thermoelectric cooler. Oh I have experiment with the heating on the one I have and it works great. als the best part is that if you are not using it to heat stuff it makes great for keeping stuf cold as well for those long car trips. Just one note though it does take a bit for it to warm up/get cold as it is depended on the exterior temps.

make sure to take a second to warm it in your hands before you apply it to your client.
