What are your plans for retirement? How are you doing it?

Hi everyone!

I would like to have some advices for retirement. I work on my own 100%. What would be the best thing to do for a therapist that works independently?

Thank you in advance for all your ideas!

Angela.

I am creating websites that bring income in monthly that will hopefully be still doing that in retirement!

Save 10% of EVERYTHING you make and sock it way.

(I actually save 20%, but 10% is min.)

To do this, you may have to consider yourself as a creditor.
*nod* As my father once told me, "You can always learn to live on 10% less."

. . . granted, life has been handing me a lot of lemons over the past eight years or so, so I currently have more lemonade than savings, but I'm getting there.

And before you start saving for retirement, be sure you have about six months worth of living expenses in a liquid account for "a rainy day."
