massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

My family is planning to move from Boston, MA to Charleston, SC this summer. BUT, we realized that since we're not committed to being in Charleston immediately that we could possibly do some overseas traveling before making the move. I only noticed a post on this site from 2009, so I thought I'd ask everyone again:

* Has anyone worked (or volunteered) overseas for 2 months, 6 months, or up to a year?

* Does anyone know locations that would be easiest to transition to abroad (country/city)?

* Are you familiar with organizations that need MTs or resorts/destination spots that need seasonal help?

* Do any international MT training companies have overseas offices that I could work at to help organize their workshops?

I have been a massage therapist for four years, run my own business, have training in hot stone, prenatal, and myofascial release. We would likely want to start this journey in late July or early August. Also, my wife (a Speech Pathologist) and son (20 months) would be joining me. Our goal is to make enough money to cover the trip and enjoy another culture. Any information would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

- Geoff
