What are you doing to prepare your marketing for the holidays?

I got excited and started thinking about marketing for the holidays when someone mentioned Black Friday and I thought, oops, it’s time to get the holiday marketing up and running before it’s Christmas Eve and the marketing is only a figment of my imagination! So, here’s my list…

I'm preparing my holiday fliers and updating my gift certificates

My e-mail list is up-to-date

I’ll be using Constant Contact to distribute the fliers

I’ve set marketing reminders on my iCal electronic calendar

I checked the gift certificate page on my website http://arianainstitute.com/giftcert.htm and will soon be adding an image of the gift certificates to that page

I have Pay Pal set up on the gift certificates page of my website

I updated my profile photo

I emphasized the fact that the gift certificates can be downloaded instantly and share via e-mail or printed

I re-reading Laura Allen's "One Year to a Prosperous Massage Practice"

I participated in a teleseminar about marketing

I'm posting on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Massage and Bodywork Professionals

I'm learning to use new features on the Mac at the Apple Store training program

I'm visualizing success in a way that is good for the client and good for me too

I'm receiving regular weekly massages

As you can tell, I'm a list maker. It helps me stay organized and think of things that might otherwise slip through the cracks, like getting the marketing out BEFORE Thanksgiving instead of just thinking about it.

I'd love to hear your suggestion and marketing techniques that help propel you on the road to success.

By the way, Ariana Institute offers an online class in marketing. It's called Practice Building. http://www.arianainstitute.com/online.htm. I wouldn't be a good marketer if I didn't mention that!

Enjoy your holiday season and remember to sell and buy gift certificates to avoid the stressors of holiday shopping, crowded malls, last-minute hassles and increased pressure on your time and energy. You can set the pace and avoid being driven to the edge of sanity.
