Hi Danielle,
I received my prenatal and massage doula certification through Judith Koch at the Institute of Somatic Therapy. There is a good home study course and she is very helpful if you have questions.
Best Wishes!
Hi all! I've been a massage therapist for 20 years and have decided I would like to become a doula. But first I'm going to do my prenatal massage certification with Elaine Stillerman this September. She has created the "Mother Masage" course which is quite well known. I would then like to go on to doula training and have been researching how to go about it. Where is the Institute of Somatic Training located? Exie, is the home study course through the Institute? How long did it take you to complete the course?

Cortiva has a a good program for both pregnancy and doula, but u have to catch it at the right time. It's hard to find a pregnancy certification program anywhere around here. You might have to check in other states if your will to travel.
Hi, Danielle -
Where are you in PA? If you are near/in Philadelphia, there is a DONA doula certification course offered in the city through the Philadelphia Alliance for Labor Support (PALS) that runs every fall and spring. The teacher is amazing, and I highly recommend it. Let me know if you want contact information.
Thanks Kathleen.

I live in Erie but I would make the trip if the education was worth it. Do you know how long the training is?

I have signed up and paid twice for your class. Both times they were cancelled. I have finally given up at trying to catch your class anywhere. However, your books are very informative..
