It preserves the hands of the therapist. Traditional Thai Massage uses primarily direct linear pressure, often done with thumbs and palms.

Thai Rocking Massage does not use linear pressure, but uses circular, round and flowing rocking movements instead. These movements can be done with hands, forearms, elbows, knees or feet.
It is less intense for the client. Direct linear pressure can easily be painful in sore spots. Thai Rocking Massage never puts pressure on one spot for an extended time.
