It is interesting to me, the fair price for ceu's. What is being taught? Who is the instructor? What qualifies the instructor to teach? These factors come in to play as we ponder a fair price for education. As an instructor what is my motivation for wanting to teach? What am I sharing? Latley, I have been suprised by all the trademarking of personal techniques as something new to be owned by one person. As a body worker of any brand, there are only a handful of biological principals that we can effect. In fact, we as practioners of the healing arts truly do nothing. All we do is add a little heat, a little pressure, stimulate the piezoelectric current and the weak electromagnetic field. The client precieves these sensations and reacts based on the sum total of their experiences. The same may be said about the doctor, the stitches may be applied to the cut but the body heals the wound. This concept takes ego out of healing. It is the nature of life to heal. What gives me the right to trade mark biology.

Return to Source: Lomilomi Training & Healing Retreat, Kauai March 18-28.

“The traditional Hawaiian approach to bodywork holds the premise that body mind and spirit (trinity) participate in its evolution-healing. The work creates a temple... a sacred space..a connecting space. ..opening and clearing the emotional body.” - Harry Uhane Jim

Many people practice Lomilomi, but few really understand it.

This retreat unveils LomiLomi Temple Style, one of the most popular and intriguing massages to facilitate and receive. Its form is often new-age interpretative, taught and applied with other spiritual forms of healing, bridging the healing arts of Hawaii with alternative and complimentary traditions from around the world.’

During “Return to Source” Retreat we go back to the Roots & Truth of healing, discuss that which is authentic or inauthentic, and demystify the secrets of true healing.

Jacqueline,
One of my colleagues at Duke Integrative Medicine has built a practice solely around Myokinesethetic work. It's really an incredible skill and has helped a lot of people. If you want to talk to a current practitioner of this work, contact Cathy Lloyd. Her website is:

Best of luck to you!!
