I was wondering how everyone is planning to celebrate Massage Therapy Awareness Week, October 25-31, 2009?

Thanks!

Hi Marcy,
I plan to visit hospitals and give on site massages in the patients' waiting room to reduce stress for families,

Hi Pat,

I love that! What a wonderful thing to do for the families of those in the hospital! ~ Marcy

I will once again this year do free Massages for the Council On Aging Volunteer Staff. It was so much fun last year and I received a call about it just this afternoon.
Hi Darcy,

Another GREAT idea! I have a few questions for you: How long were you there giving massages? Did you take brochures or fliers about the benefits of massage, etc. to give the volunteers?

Thanks!
Marcy
I was there 4 hours last year and the time frame will be the same this year. Yes, to brochures and business cards. The Council On Aging puts on this event for their Senior Volunteer Staff each year. This will be my second year to be involved in this event. It includes lunch, door prize drawings, games, and just a fun day for all. I will once again donote a free one hour session with a parafin hand dip to the Door prizes. I am so glad that I can be a part of this event here in Pensacola, FL. When I Give I Receive.

And remember to put any of your volunteer hours in for a PVSA and get recognized by the President next year in KY http://www.worldmassagefestival.com/service.html
Thanks Mike!
