Laundry!

What detergent or special tricks do you use to get oil out of sheets? I have Tide w Bleach but am wondering what else could help. thank you!

www.youngliving.com Theives Household Cleaner One capful in the wash water and you will be amazed as to how clean everything comes out.

Natural formulations has a laundry enzyme detergent to help remove oil.

We've also added oxiclean to the laundry. But the best thing I did...

I switched to fractionated coconut oil, it comes out with regular laundry detergent(costco brand) and does not leave stains on sheets or clothing. I use it sparingly on clients and it doesn't leave the heavy oily feel on people's skin when they leave.

Hi Leah,

There are a few laundry products out there specifically for this. Clear Results was the first one I remember coming out, back when I was in school, so 1999-2000. I tried it back then, but did not like the lingering smell it left on my sheets. They may have made changes, improvements, so it'd be worth getting a sample of.
I recently saw another massage linen laundry product on Massage Warehouse, but have not tried it yet.
The best methods I have found for removing oils is to either apply spray & wash on the sheets immediately after use, not enough to drench them, just a quick spray--before putting them in my laundry bin. I also will let them soak in my washing machine after it has filled with warm water and soap.
I've moved to using cocoa butter and lotions that have some oil in them, to help me move away from oils. Thats just me though!

Leah, i don't use Tide because some people are allergic to it. I always use a detergent that is deemed hypoallergenic and unsented. There are some on the market at the grocery store. My personal preference is Bon Vital' Fresh 'n' Clean which i purchase through Massage Warehouse. I have tried Lotus Touch Always Fresh which works very well but i don't care for the smell, so its not unsented and i think its very strong. If i have used alot of lotion i will add some stain treatment spray to the area.
