How do you go about finding places to hold your workshops, seminars, etc?

It's one thing to hold classes in your own territory, because you know where to look, or at very least who to ask.  But where do you go to find reasonable places to hold your workshops out of town?  Internet searches are feeling very much like looking for a needle in a hay stack!

I have emailed a couple board members from area massage associations without any answer yet.  (I know how much they have on their plate, so I do not exactly expect my requests to be of top priority)

I am currently looking for a place in Tampa, and St. Pete that can comfortably hold 20 people with tables and chairs (not massage tables :o)

Any thoughts?

I have attended workshops at Hotels, and in classrooms.
Hello Nicole,

I've had good luck googling yoga studios in the areas I teach in, then emailing the studios that look like they might have good space.

good luck!

Hi Nicole & other educators,
I'm on the other side of the boat! I am looking for educators, but unsure what to charge for our space. Basically, I have a pretty captive audience of current students, staff and alumni. There aren't many CE classes that make it through our area of TN. If you are interested, please send me some information. There is a good chance you could present here and then at our main campus in Conyers, GA. I am trying to keep these to 1 day workshops and a minimal cost. We are in a very economically depressed area (aren't we all?)
