QUESTIONS REGARDING ONLINE TESTING PROGRAMS

If you are an educator who utilizes online testing, what online testing program do you use?

Do you find the program to be user friendly?

Is the instruction manual easy to use and helpful and is the help menu up-to-date and helpful?

Do you receive prompt and courteous service from the people who run the online testing program?

Is the price you pay reasonable in terms of the return on investment you receive from your endeavors?

Do your students find the online testing experience pleasant and user friendly?

Are you able to input information and upload videos and graphics easily?

Do they allow you to offer specials on your classes or are you locked into one tuition payment per class?

Do they link only with PayPal or are you allowed to utilize other forms of payment via their site?

I'd appreciate your response.

We use Moodle, which is an open-source (free) program. It was recommended to me by Whitney Lowe, who uses it for his online courses. It works well, but the support is limited to online user forums, so you really need to find a programmer who is familiar with Moodle and can help you work out the bugs and learn how to use it. Our students tell us they enjoy using the system.
