HI Diane. I'm happy to see you here. I know the challenges of the past 18 months have brought about unexpected changes and challenges for many people. I'm glad that this was a 'retirement' goal. It is a very rewarding, fun and much needed art, that you'll find many other therapists enjoying. I wish you much success in your Home-Based massage practice. I'm sure as a Marketing Guru you'll drum up business with no trouble. BTW: I might be moving to Clearwater in the next few months :-)

Hi Michael. I'm pleased to join your NJ group. I'm a recent graduate of Lourdes Institute for Wholistic Studies. I am currently working in a physical therapy/fitness office, while aggressively trying to build my home-based private practice. I had originally intended for massage to be my "retirement career", something to look forward to when I was ready to leave behind my hectic life as a marketing executive in the food industry. However, my "retirement" came unexpectedly early this year due to the economic slowdown -- surprise! But it's a good thing, as it has pushed me to do what I really love to do sooner than I would have otherwise. I lived in Florida (Clearwater) for a few years back in the early '90's. Loved it! Maybe someday will get back there.
