I am offering two unique workshops in the Pittsburgh area in mid-September. The first, Indian Champissage™ (Head Massage) is a 3-day course for 21 CE hours. The second, Kansa Vatki Foot Massage™, is a 1-day course for 7 CE hours. Both courses are NCBTMB approved (450489-07). See below for a listing of upcoming workshops in other locations.
What: Indian Champissage™ (Head Massage)
When: Sep 9-11 (Fri/Sat/Sun) 9:00 - 5:00 each day
Where: Courtyard by Marriott Monroeville
Indian Champissage™ has been popular in India for over a thousand years. The head, neck, shoulders and upper back - areas where tension is more likely to accumulate - are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure simply melts away. This unique therapy combines physical and subtle massage with energy balancing to produce feelings of perfect peace. It is a wonderful alternative to seated chair massage.
What: Kansa Vatki Foot Massage
When: Sep 12 (Mon) 9:00 - 5:00
Where: Courtyard by Marriott Monroeville
Kansa Vatki Foot Massage™ is a beautiful and relaxing healthcare modality which balances the body, mind and spirit. This unique treatment, steeped in centuries of Ayurvedic ceremony, incorporates ghee (clarified butter). The heart of the treatment involves vigorously rubbing the soles of the feet with a
3-metal bowl to draw heat and toxins out of the body thereby inducing tremendous relaxation. The Kansa Vatki Foot Massage™ is deeply revitalizing for tired feet and legs, and it makes a perfect addition to reflexology.

CE classes for La. State Massage Therapists-Lafayette, La.
Energetic Trauma Release
This class is designed to increase your knowledge regarding working
compassionately and effectively with the effects of trauma/chronic
stress in your practice. Learn how secondary trauma affects those
dealing with trauma and abuse with others. Learn
how “triggers” affect a person after the event or trauma is over
and how to release them, replacing fear motivated behavior with a
sense of calm.
When someone experiences emotional or physical trauma, illness, chronic stress, surgery, suppressed or negative
feelings, this causes “energy blocks” in the body, affecting our
health and well being. Dr Norm Shealy states-”all
psychological/emotional problems are based in anger, guilt, anxiety
or depression from past traumas; even slight traumas in our past can
have devastating consequences.”
Are you too stressed to relax? This class is about self-healing and why
it is so important to take care of ourselves. Do you put everyone
else's needs in front of yours so you are the last one taken care of?
This class will give you tools and techniques you can use to heal
your body and soul and really enjoy your life.
As
caregivers we need to take care of ourselves in order to be of
service to anyone else. Learn stress-warning signs, stress reducers,
learn to assess your mind, body, spirit level, meditation, energetic
relaxation techniques, labyrinth and much more.
