Anyone teaching "observing" skills via videos and imagery?

Hello all,

I'm getting ready to share our new Critical Thinking Skills instructor workshop in Richmond, VA this week and Phoenix, AZ at the end of the month.  Based on the workshop feedback and participation so far, we expect the events to be lots of fun and very insightful! 

One of the skills sets involved with critical thinking is the skill of observing.  This skill can be developed in students by adding more video and imagery to your lectures.  Has anyone out there incorporated more video and imagery into your teaching lately?  If so, what have you added and what have you noticed as a result?  I'd love to share some ideas in our upcoming workshops, so if you have a moment to share, please do!
