Effective Admissions

I enjoyed the workshop at this years forum but was hoping for more massage specific information. We are part of a career college that has many programs and I am wondering how to better prepare the admissions department for MT specific enrollments. Anyone find something that really help and/or works?

Melissa, I'll respond because I love to see discussions on admissions (even if I didn’t present exactly what you where looking for, I don’t want your question to go unanswered :)
Information and knowledge sharing is critical to be sure an admissions department is presenting the right info, and looking for the right qualities in a prospective student. Agreeing on what the criteria are is an important first step. And get it on paper as objectively as you can. Sharing knowledge is next. Lunch and learns - discussions where the massage director or faculty discuss their view on why massage is a great career and even their experience in the field. And of course, make sure every admissions representative gets massage regularly! I know this only the start, hopefully more people chime in.

Thanks Ted! That does help. I have a breakfast meeting with admissions next friday and plan to cover all of these topics. I will also make sure they have all had a massage! Thanks for the info...
