In the California fight to save uniform, professional, state-level regulation, Massage Today added a NO on AB 1822 form. Please give it a spin. I believe it is helpful for stakeholders nationally and internationally to make opposition to AB 1822 known -- to let the author and appropriations committee members know that opposition to this bill has national and international extent as a detrimental move against the profession as a whole.

Johnathan, the look of things being quiet is deceptive. A lot of info on AB1822 has been getting passed back and forth on a Facebook group started by Daniel Cohen. (http://bit.ly/8YKDeg).

Hello fellow California Massage Therapists. I am looking for therapists to help give massages to runners at the finish line of the Napa Valley Marathon on Sunday March 7th. If you are in the SF Bay Area anywhere to the Sacramento Area, we would love to have you join us, the more the merrier.
Please contact me directly at wellnesscollective@att.net
Thank you - Kirsten Niesar, CMT

Hi Lara,
Where in CA are you? In Southern CA, especially the San Diego area where I live Ayurvedic modalities are very popular. It might be b/c of all the yoga centers and also the Deepak Chopra center is in this county.

Where ever you are, if you haven't thought of it, try approaching the local massage schools to offer a course in it or that can be one place to advertise your classes.

Good luck!
