Michael, Last year I went to the DONA conference in St Louis. Most of the doulas were women but there were about 3 men who have made it their career. Try dona.org and maybe you can talk to their main office and they might refer you to someone(s). Massage and doula-ing go so well together!

Hello Ladies,
I have been a Massage Therapist for 15 yrs. I became interested in Pregnancy massage and made Peri-Post natal massage my primary service offering for 5 yrs after studying with Carole Osborne in 1997. I have since attended several births including that of my own two children. I would like to learn more about being a Doula and what it entails. I don't know of any Male Doulas but if they're out there would love to hear from them. I am glad to see this group on this ABMP site. Its great to see the diversity that is such a key part of massage and body therapies.

All the Best,
Michael.

Hi! Have to make dinner... will write more later. Am a certified massage therapist and reflexologist, and a certified birth doula. I love it! To Sandra Cherry: I want to know more about end of life doula.
Later all!

hello! As a massage therapist and energy worker, I love working with my pregnant clients....it's such a wonderfulexperience knowing I am working with and forming a bond between both the mom-to-be, the "little one", and me! I want to get my certification as massage doula and would like any info/thoughts on from whom to take the cert.course....any one worked with Elaine Stiller and her "Mother Massage" course?

I am an end of life doula and that along with being a massage thrapist is most rewarding. The experience is so spiritual and incredible.

Been doula-ing since 2005, became a CMD in 2007. I love and learn from every birth I am at. Being a massage therapist and doula is really rewarding with these special clients.

I am not a Doula at this time but I would also like to get my certificate as a Massage Doula but I haven't found a certification in my state for this type of work.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your Doula practice? I would have to say for me being able to give Mom some relaxing time for herself because I could have really used that as an expecting and new mother!
