Wow, Henry, I've got to say I've never encountered anything quite like this and I'm sorry you have. Sometimes situations like these are driven by location. You need to know your demographic well. I trained in metro-NY and I now live in AZ so have pretty much always worked with a population that was open. Personally, I've never seen the point in working to educate those who are shut down. It's a drain on my own energy, whcih I need for myself first and for my clients second. So educate yes, but assess first who is open to education in the first place. Being conscious of all views (and respectful of them) is important (ideally on both sides of the equation!); however, I also think what you put out there and how you present yourself counts for a lot. I know down to the level of my DNA that I would never want to deal with that sort of confrontation and forced to defend that which I know to be true. In that knowing I find this sort of confrontation doesn't come toward me. People get a sense of what I'm about by the energy I emit and they make a call before it goes much further. I'm not for everyone (and no one should be). I plant my feet firmly, they get a sense of what I'm about and it's generally understood: you come here for what I do -- or you don't. And if you fit into the latter group, the door works in two directions. I don't mean to sound rigid, but as an energy worker, I think it's vital to know who you are and what you stand for. We are here to facilitate the movement of energy and hold the space for others to heal, not to have naysayers steal our energy by labeling us with negative words and forcing us to defend what we do.

Again, I'm really sorry you've had these unfortunate experiences. When these things happen though, they help us to learn, to further define ourselves and to deepen our work. Don't let these people dim your light. Energy workers are desperately needed in this world today.

Hi all,

I look forward to connecting with you!

I am in Colorado Springs and am passionate about reaching people through energy healing, whether it be hands on or teaching them Chi Kung and Yogic breathing/ movement techniques as well as eastern sound healing to help them facilitate their own healing energies.
Sound is a big part of what I do, particularly vocal toning, and I am interested to connect with others that are active in this powerful vibrational energy form.

Peace and Live Well,
Jacob

Hi Janet and welcome! Donna Eden's "Energy Medicine" is wonderful....along with the specific "Energy Medicine for Women". All of the energy modalities integrate beautifully with massage. I show/teach my clients Donna's "5 Minute Energy Routine" and give them a copy of the exercise to take with them......just a little extra TLC for them!

Hi All. I'm interested in learning many types of energy work, so that my "toolbox" offers lots of choices when I encounter a problem. I've completed year 1 in Donna Eden's Certification program and taken a single 5-day workshop in esoteric healing (Alice Bailey method). Have also received the first Reiki attunements and read about other methods. Hungry to learn more and begin implementing energy on a more consistent basis (just became a LMT this month).

Anyone having any massage related information and/or stories can send them to http://www. massagenews.org and it will be included. I like adding instructors' CE Schedules, we link back to your site free, whether the class is for credit or just to spread knowledge. So send them in. Examples are at http://www.massagenews.org/ce/index.html

I hope this will help all in the energy field.

Sue, this is a lovely place to meet other Lightworkers and to help "fill my tank" so to speak while networking with everyone here. I'm a Reiki Master/Teacher and own my own business, Full Circle Outreach - Your Wellness Center, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Reiki is my passion. I host weekly "Lightworker Gatherings" at The Center where "Seasoned Energy Workers" as well as "Newbies" spend two hours exchanging hands-on Energy Medicine with each other. Everyone always leaves refreshed and rejuvenated.
I schedule monthly Reiki I and Reiki II Classes. I also recently took the Quantum Touch Video Workshop and will co-host another QT Video Workshop at The Center this coming September.
Thank you for creating space here. Neena

I have been an "energy worker" all my life, I just never knew what to call it till later on in life when I got involved in Massage Therapy and Bodywork. I co-own a Lexington, KY. based school for Massage Therapy and Bodywork. I am also the chief, cook and bottle-washer there!! I have been a Reiki Master for a little over 11 years and have seen lots of astonishing healing done on the energy level. I take my "calling" as a teacher/healer very seriously and it is something I love very much.

My energy work consists of Solfeggio Frequency Tuning Forks as well as Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. These are two very powerful energy modalities alone, and combined they are even more powerful!
