  • Varying devastating statistics exist with regards to Low Back Pain (LBP) and associated dysfunction. Only 30% of complaints have been shown to involve nerve root entrapment, and therefore up to 70% of LBP may primarily be musculoskeletal in origin
  • Low back pain (LBP) is a widespread complaint with varying overwhelming statistics. Back pain affects up to 80% of people at some stage in their lifetime
  • Much speculation regarding the source of LBP was prevalent before modern technology provided sound imaging capabilities. With the advent of modern technology and imaging, the focus of attention was on neural compressions through disc herinations and zygapophyseal joint pathologies. However, pain emanating from these structures accounts for only up to 30% of LBP . This suggests that 70% of LBP may be musculoskeletal in origin.
