I can actually feel the difference when I give a massages. I have better control when I during my body mechanics which prevents me from being stiff and sore after I have given alot of massage. Please share what you are doing to stay fit and healthy.

However, the best 'investment' I feel any LMT can make is in a hydraulic table. It will give you longevity and eliminate unnecessary stress on the body!

The only tool I have is a massage hammer which enables me to give myself a massage. I have used it on my feet, my upper back and shoulders, my legs and my belly. It works quite well and it only cost me about $30.- It's not as good as a real massage, but it's much better than nothing and has helped me many times to work out some stress in my body.

And Gloria, I live in Thailand and we do almost all massage work on a floor mat which is actually better for your body since you can use your body weight more efficiently. But it does require the agility to squat and kneel and sit on your heels which is quite normal in Asia, but not in the US. Would you believe that I have been doing massage work for over 12 years and I have never owned a massage table. Same goes for my wife who has been at it longer than me and she has actually never even worked on a table. It's a different world here.

Foam Roller! Its an amazing tool for opening up the spine in so many ways especially the lumbar/sacral area.
