About Kansa Vatki
This unique treatment, steeped in centuries of Ayurvedic ceremony, uses ghee (clarified butter) or coconut oil. The massage is deeply revitalizing for tired feet and legs. Since the feet contain key energy and nerve endings relating to internal organs, a Kansa Vatki treatment also helps to rebalance the Tri-Dosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha).
The heart of a treatment involves vigorously rubbing the soles of the feet with a 3-metal bowl to draw heat and toxins out of the body thereby inducing tremendous relaxation. The treatment is about 40 minutes in duration. Slowly and methodically, the toes, feet, ankles and calves are massaged. The treatment continues with special moves performed with the Kansa Vatki bowl, followed by a rebalancing sequence of marma massage. All this special attention helps to detoxify and balance the body's energies.
The Kansa Vatki Foot Massage makes a wonderful addition to reflexology and other bodywork.

Thank you, Melanie. I did not know about Diamond Way Ayurveda! I visited your website and saw how much you have to offer. When will you be on the East Coast and where?
Dear Susan, I was excited to read you have trained with our good friend Dr. Mehta.
I thought you might like to know we have been teaching foot massage using a kansa bowl for 10 years or more here in USA. I was not trained by your teacher but by students of an ayuredic doctor in France. You might like to see our website www.DiamondWayAyurveda.com. We have a variety of kansa massage tools and a DVD called Pedikarma(TM) that is a foot treatment that includes the kansa bowl massage technique. Looking forward to hearing from you. Melanie Sachs
