Curiously, not so bad, considering. At my office, not what it was two years ago, I'm down by about 25% but so is the chiropractor I work with. Seems I do most of my business between August & January, with fall being especially busy. I see lots of teachers...After school starts, they historically trickle back to see me around mid-October when conferences start. After that, I get a feel for how much holiday marketing I have to do to remind them... But my regulars have been VERY regular in light of the economy, because of the stress that landed on all of us. The number of private clients who come to my home or get house calls, the number is up 50%; I have also have done chair massage at a couple local festivals in the past, and those people were reluctant to partake this past summer even for ten minutes. That ten bucks is hard to part with when it pays for the gas to get them there in the first place! Soldiering onward...
I am doing well also even with the current economy. I average 12-25 clients a week and love it. I do not advertise except through my clients. I am very blessed. I too will be grandfathered in with the new licensing. Not planning on moving out of state but if I do at some point and time I will take the test.
