We have modified a fleet management/scheduling program called ServiceCEO for business. It is set up to manage technician teams covering "zones" - which for us is a city.
It even text msgs appt info to the techs, emails invoices to clients and you can process CCs through it after each appt check out, generates earnings reports for employees and contractors, etc.
It was not cheap -- about $7k plus the time spent customizing the fields to our business needs -- but we were able to cut our PT bookkeeper back to 16 hours a week from 24.
We don't really need the GPS features you developed. We only work with contracted hotels in a defined area, and we know where our MTs are and they can all get to any of our locations within about an hour.
Because 75% of our work is assigned to employees working a set schedule, we have elminated a lot of the guess-work and back and forth of trying to schedule mobile services. Our Resevations Center works just like a bricks-and-mortar spa -- we confirm and book based on scheduled availability, not based on trying to track down 1 of 15 practitioners on our Rosterd and getting someone getting from Point A, B or C to Point D.
Guests don't expect the Domino's Pizza model of "how soon can you get here", that is mainly a fabrication of hotel concierge trying to impress the guests by how many hoops they can jump through to get a tip. We have spent most of the past decade beating that behavior out of our clients' guest services teams, and it has paid off with greater sanity for all and more efficient and increased bookings as well.
