How many specials or discounts do you offer new and existing clients to build your business. Is this the best way to keep your business going? If not, what are some ways to build your clientele?

I offer a "locals" rate across the board regarless if they are new clients or not. If they live close I will charge them less, less travel time = more appointments booked. I send out 2 to 4 mailings a year with a different special each time. I use social networkings and blogs to grow a email mailing list. Refer Refer & Refer. Join a low pressure networking group that meets once or twice a month.

Forgive me for being nuieve, but what does a mailing list look like for MT's.  I don't utilize the computer much to be apart of a social network either it takes to much of my time and I am constanting trying to build and seek out avenues.
