massage and bodywork professionals
a community of practitioners
Hi all!
Does anyone have any information/experience with getting Nevada licensing based on California licensing/certification?
I'm currently licensed in California at 250 hour practitioner level. I will be returning to school in a few months to complete the balance of training for 500 hour therapist certification. I live in Gardnerville, Nevada, 20 miles from South Lake Tahoe, California, where I currently work. I envision working part of the year (winter!) in SoCal to be closer to family.
I would ultimately like to get licensed in Nevada as well and, of course, I would like my training to meet Nevada state requirements, if at all possible. The school I would like to attend is not on the "not approved" list. However, when I spoke with staff at the Nevada State Massage Board, she said that applications are considered on a case by case basis, and there would be no way of predicting in advance if my training program would meet Nevada requirements.
Any information/direction you could offer would be most appreciated. Thank you!!
