Every year the National AMTA sponsors the National Massage Therapy Awareness Week during the last week of October. I have wanted to hold an event every year since I graduated! This year as a part of the NMTAW there will be a HUGE event (or at least we hope so) October 31, 2009 at the Thomas Cloud Park 4770 Brandt Pike in Huber Heights, OH from 11a to 4p. This program is part of a nationwide effort to increase public awareness of the benefits of therapeutic massage for people of all ages. During the event, people will be able to sample a 5-10 minute, free massage from a team of professional massage therapists who can explain how massage enhances health. We are currently recruiting massage therapists and health care professionals to participate in this event to conduct demonstrations (chair/table massages) and to be onsite to explain therapeutic massage to interested consumers. We expect to spend no more than 15 minutes with each consumer who participates. If you are interested in participation in this important program or if you have any questions, please call (937) 233-1755.
***This is an outdoor event. There is no back up for inclimate weather. Should the weather not cooperate, this event will be cancelled.
