Existence is a song. Everything vibrates, from the smallest of molecules to the very universe itself. Where there is vibration, there is sound. It is common knowledge that in the ancient world sound was used for healing. In fact, some of the methods used then are still in use today. The term "resonance" can be defined as the vibration set up by contact with an object sympathetic to a frequency. With harmonic medicine, a belief that the body is a natural sound resonator means our physical forms are sympathetic to -- perhaps even "recognize" on a cellular level -- particular frequencies or vibrations thus resetting the cellular memory. One way an illness expresses itself, is by producing frequencies with a unique sound .This unique sound can be accurately measured, and by applying converse sound frequencies, can be restored to its normal frequency. In this way, your health is brought back into balance.

Most sessions in my practice are integrated massage or a specific bodywork modality. I keep my Ohm and Otto Tuner tuning forks handy and use them when indicated or requested by the client. I hope to learn more in this group about the practical applications other MTs are finding for tuning forks.
