Thanks Darcy, What you describe is indeed happening. She mentioned journaling. You are right, what ever I've been doing is good so far, so I'm not planning any significant changes in what I do. I just want to make sure I'm a little ahead so I don't make any mistakes as things change for her. I guess I'd just rather not be so surprised is all.

I've recently picked up a client with abuse history that was brought out after 8th sessions. She has mentioned that I've already provided significant help through my non evasive non confrontational touch, and that I'm on occasion a trigger to memories of the past which she has brought up in her counseling sessions which was a huge surprise to me. She very much wants to continue sessions with me. Although I must be doing something right, I'm now on the fast track to learn as much as possible about how I can modify my work to provide the best healing support. I'm still a student taking more classes and will of course bring this to my instructors. I've already picked up on contacting my local support services organizations and have made initial contact. Any books or other references will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to what this group and its site will teach me. I affirm that I shall be a sponge.
thanks for being there and open,
dave
