It does look like Adele doesn't it! But I think it is someone named Carla. If my memory serves me correctly after all these years! That is me on the table. In younger days!

Alex, that's so profound! Trager Approach has so much to offer.

To work a little Trager Approach 'magic' into your bodywork modalities meditate on this: any tension you detect, resistance you feel, is there for a reason. Stop tackling tension head-on. As they say in Aikido: "If you see a train coming, step off the tracks."Notice tension but do not take it head on. Contact is a witness to tension, meeting it, accompanying it, not a tool providing contrived solutions. We rarely truly know what the ideal solution is to our own problems much less those of others. What you CAN do is to hold a space for the kinesthetic channel to reveal its mysteries, express its own logic, unwind it's conundrums organicaly as it best knows how. Today, try to hold space for the dyad you find yourself in and have a silent proprioceptive conversation about what is present, what needs witnessing. Forget about doing stuff, helping, structuring, healing, releasing etc. Just be present thru contact, to everything that is and isn't there. That is enough. Then you may detect the subtle movement impulses and restrictions that want to happen, need attention, amplification, or a return to stillness.

Hi Nancy,
wow that would be a great one to see! If you scan the pic you can then use the link or photo symbol on the 'Add Comment' box to post it.
Hope the new year brings your Trager touch to as many bodies as possible! Best regards, Alex

Geez- that was before digital cameras. I do have one that I keep in my treatment room. It's a picture of Milton working on my neck in a training class. How do I upload a picture, though? I don't see any pl;ace to put it in the group-

I'm sorry Lisa- I've been so busy I haven't even thought about this forum lately! But yes, the Mid-Atlantic Trager group is the perfect place to go and seek for a sample session. Most students do tend to give their free sessions to family and friends rather than someone they don't know, but if someone is near you geographically, I 'll bet they will be willing!
