Thanks, Alex, I'll try that. I did contact the National or International group, but they didn't have any students' contact info. Lisa

Hi Lisa,
how nice of you to offer your body to science! I would make contact with the Mid-Atlantic Trager Association for a list of local students.
Happy New Year!
Alex

Does anyone here know of students in the NYC area who are looking for practice clients?

By the way, I just love your photo of Milton, Alex. It makes me just about drool thinking of MIlton's hands on my neck like that. Yum.

Hi there. I am a Trager Practitioner of over 20 years and yes, it is a powerful approach. The thing to remember about Trager is that its all about reaching the mind. All the feel-good rocking and elongation, shimmering and compression, all of it is to reach the mind, to re-program the unconscious mind.

All of the official Trager courses are listed in the Trager International website, www.trager.com.

I teach some Trager, both in the official program and outside of it. My own classes, based on how I have developed the work of Milton Trager, and my desire to have more people using this amazing approach to working with clients, can be found listed on my website (DynamicEquilibrium.com) under the title, Manifest Mind. The 2010 schedule isn't up yet, but will be next week.

Hi Terry,
thanks for sharing, that's fantastic. I also did a lot of traveling to get my Trager. So fun! Let me know your progress. PS. don't wait. Change the focus now. Whatever you do, work lighter but with 'deeper' contact. You will not accidentally remove someone's liver or anything. Keep in touch! Alex

I started studying Trager last year after I developed arthritis in my hands. I've been a massage therapist for 10 years and I love doing body work. When I realized I have a shelf life of about two more years I needed to find some way to continue doing what I love without further injuring myself. One of my clients suggested Trager (her sister is a practitioner in N. Carolina) as a way to continue working.

Well, I live in Nevada, and when I first started checking into it there were no Trager practitioners in the state (now there are two). I've flown to Texas for my Trager classes and driven to Los Angeles for tutorials and San Francisco for Mentastics. I'm now completing my fieldwork for level 3. Hopefully, sometime this year, I'll make it to practitioner level and will be able to change the focus of my work.

Learning Trager has been a life saver for me. The hard part is letting go of my massage training and trying to "fix" people. I'm told it will come.
