The world massage conference was great, I just dont know if we are ready for it here in the uk.
I've done my best to promote it http://www.healthypages.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=68268 But didn't really get much response.
Still it's all about promotion, and don't think we got any here in the uk, I just feel very lucky to have come across it on the web and even luckier to have had some spare cash to investigate it futher.
I would love to help you promote/do/assist to further this............I can't help but think we are stagnating a bit here in the uk everyone is so concerned about regulation and licenceing no-one seems to be very forward looking/thinking ?????

Hey Stephen,
Thanks for your response.
It seems you are right and everyone appears to be so scattered and disorganized about legislation that the profession is just an after thought.
I hope that i'm wrong and once I'm back and settled things will be a little clearer.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Massage Industry explode over the next few years *fingers crossed* and each of us being involved in that. :)

Hi Sally

yes the massage industry does seem to have exploded in the USA, it seems to have raced ahead in getting innovative techniques pioneered and delevered into the hands of a very enthusiastic bunch of professionals who live and breathe massage and bodywork the same way I do.

I've had my fingers crossed for 10yrs and things are happening way too slowley here in the UK !

I'm in the middle of doing MFR with Ruth Duncan (John Barnes trained ) here in London and can't wait to begin delivering to my clients......there is 20 of us on the course and some are having some big emotional releases and unwindings.

I hope you are bringing some MFR back to Scotland ?

Hi Stephen,
Absolutely, I am trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can, and wrap up as many of my CEU courses as I can before I fly home.
I have a great relationship with my School here too, and know that I am always welcome to come back over for some of the bigger courses they teach.
We even discussed the possibility of me eventually opening a school that teaches my current schools curriculum, but in the UK.

I have a long way to go before that though, as I'll need to get with the people ate the SMTO and talk with them about teaching regulations in Scotland.
