Mikey talks about your class and programs all the time. He is excited about working with you to put another tool into therapists tool kits. This will help a lot of therapists. We are so glad you will be doing an introduction class for this program at the Festival. There are a lot of new students looking for answers that have asked for this class!
I used to accept insurance many years ago when I first started. I was very familiar with the process since i had done coding in my hospital job and medical insurance billing for a neurologist. It helped me get started. I was glad i knew what I knew about the "whole" process. I filed mostly with workmens comp and MVA's. Most private insurance companies did not pay 20 years ago.
The paperwork for the car accidents was intensive , especially reports/notes and explaining everything. An LMT really needs to keep good documentation "professionally". Also, sometimes cases got denied as there are no guarantees.
I think insurance is good to offer to help people out, but I also don't want to rely on it any longer.
Hi Gloria, thanks so much for your input. I do know what you mean and how much trouble it can be. However I instruct therapists on how to reduce as much of the problematic stuff as possible. Like being organized from day one, by proper patient interview and especially how to legally and effectively document and submit bills properly. I instruct that nothing comes without a bit of work and learning curves but the income can be well worth it, especially if they are like so many now with limited cash flow. I had no one to turn to for help when I began in 1984. And with only auto and work comp cases, built our business to nearly half million a year. So I know it can be done and I just love helping others learn how too. Thanks again Gloria.

I am so excited about sharing with everyone too Mike. Mikey is a doll and was such a pleasure to have in my class in Panama City. Nearly a year later I still see his smiles!!! I love doing these seminars because we get our yearly hug quota in one class alone.

That is probably the most common noticed events at Festival are the hugs and smiles... what could be better?
I have billed insurance for almost six years and during the past year have billed around $50,000. Since in my state many companies don't want to pay unless you're working under a chiropractor, I hired one to work for ME. Where there's a will, there's a way!
That's the truth, Laura!
